After years of being on LR5 I have subscribed to Lightroom CC. But am having an issue with exporting images.

In LR5 I could export, change the size etc... add a watermark, type in a filename to use. In this version all i can do is save to a folder but it wont allow me to watermark or name it! Must be missing something, but what?

Use Lightroom CC classic - I couldn't cope with the other one. No problem with anything you mentioned.

There are two current versions of Lightroom - one is just called 'Lightroom', and is a new (more cloud-based) app. The other is 'Lightroom Classic', which is an up to date version of the desktop program you are used to (similar to LR5&6). If you have the 'Lightroom Plan' you only get Lightroom, not Lightroom Classic, though you also have 1TB of cloud storage. For the same price you can get the 'Creative Cloud Photography Plan', which includes both versions of Lightroom and Photoshop, but only 20GB of storage:

If you have the Photography Plan, try switching to Lightroom Classic.

Doh!!! Obvious error!! Dilemma now is which to use? Classic I find quicker and used to it, plus the exporting name thing is important but it is nice to have images online!

You want classic, the other one isn't as fully featured

You don't have to choose one or the other, you can use both, you can set certain folders on classic to sync with CC, your paying so use it all, the CC is ok on mobiles and such and you can use the CC desktop to make/save profiles or presets and that syncs to CC mobile.

I use it a lot on mobile, most of my sports require very little work, so a crop, possibly a preset and it's done.

You can use both. Import to Classic, put your images into a collection and then sync this with Lightroom CC by clicking the little lightning bolt icon. This will sync smart previews of those images to the cloud while keeping the originals on your computer. So you can edit on your phone, tablet or online. Plus smart previews don't count towards your cloud storage limit so you can have your entire catalog online in this way. Smart Previews are 1920x1280 in size so perfect for online sharing, Instagram etc. Any edits you make in CC will be synced back to the original files held in Classic and vice versa

I use both for differing purposes. If I'm on my desktop I'll use Classic, I also store all my images on here too. Images I'm working on are synced to CC, this enables me to carry on editing on my iPad Pro/Laptop. Once finished I will then Export the finished images to Photos/Flickr/Facebook as appropriate. Personally I don't bother with watermarks etc as it is my hobby and tbh, I doubt anyone would be able to make any money from them (I can't). I also don't upload in HiRes
