lightroom file management

I have been trying lightroom out and how do we drag images to a collections folder this is where i cant seem to get it to work

Have you created a collection? If so, you should be able to just drag the image to that collection.

I think so there are some folders there but cant drag into them or do I need some subfolders?

Just to be clear, are there folders in the collection box at bottom left? These will be collections you created y clicking on the "+" to the right of "collections"

I would assume Library as you can't see the collections from Develop.

Try making a collection set first, then make a collection

Press "G" for grid view, you can then click the small circle on the top RH corner of the image and add to quick colection then re-name or drag onto a previous collection.

I think I also found that importing images, selecting them all and then righ-clicking on the Collection folder name (at left of screen) would allow you to select the option to add all iamges to that folder.

Yup - you can, scroll down. The develop module just puts the left menu back to the top for the presets.

I must be missing something then. I'm in the develop module and all I can see is Navigator, Presets, Snapshots & History.

Right click when you are on any of the ones you can see and you should get a box which if you tick the collection option it will show (it might be left click of course, I use a pen instead of a mouse adn never know which I am using as it is automatic)

I can show in collection and add to quick collection but can't add to an existing collection. What do you mean by tick the collection option?
