lightroom export

I'm new to lightroom and when I export a raw file as a jpeg I am asked about quality. The default setting is 60 - should i increase this or will it not make much difference?

Depends what you want to do with it. For printing I'd export at somewhere around 80% - 100% depending on the size I'm printing.

For the web, 60% is fine.

I find Lightroom can sometime give jpeg artifacts (sort of messy edges) if the quality is too low. I played around and at the moment I am using 87 I think for web, which is higher than I would like, but seems to produce the best results for me.
