Lightroom Export With Exif

Hey,

When I export my photos from Lightroom into .Jpgs I dont seem to be recording the exif data in them???

Am I doing something wrong and what should I be doing?

Have you got Min. embedded metadata ticked in the export panel?
 
Ok, so how are you checking the exif from the exported jpeg?
 
another thought - are you using Save for Web in Photoshop? If so that strips out the exif data.
 
I just never had the Min. embedded metadata ticked. So maybe that was the problem!

Ok so im embedding the metadata but after I export to jpg, then upload to Photobucket, then resize to post here.....the exif is not available.??

The min. embedded shouldn't be ticked.

Have you checked if the exif is intact in the exported files BEFORE you upload them to photobucket? It might be photobucket that's removing the data.
 
ok im still trying with no joy. I checked if the Exif was intact after "export to jpg" with Opanda and there is no Exif Showing.

Any suggestions?

Sorry I have no idea why it's happening. :( Exports from LR are working fine here with all the exif data intact. Have you checked for the exif by right clicking and selecting properties and then scrolling through the details tab?

You've got minimize embedded metadata ticked - turn that OFF!
 
Can anyone see the exif on this image please?!! Because if you cant it means Flickr is removing it!! I finally fixed the bug with my lightroom.

haha!! I give up!!

Well Flickr doesnt show exif data on any resized images (ive just found out) It stores it on the original sized files.

So therefore the only way I can get an image on here is to resize the image "before export" then export it with exif intact.

grr.

I'm using "Exif Viewer 1.4" with Firefox, and I get:

Bad JPEG file head, SOI marker not found: 0x47 0x49
Status = -1

Unable to extract some or all of the Exif data.
