Hi

Just curious could someone explain,

When I export an image in portrait mode the size is smaller than landscape orientation even though the export settings are thr same why is this just curious???

Thanks for reading

Guess your photo might be croped wrong? I usually export the 100% jpeg to photoshop after and finish editing there with some good plugins :-)

I dont crop them in Lightroom but I see ur point if I did, I don't compress them either in thr export option there raw files. Exporting as tiffs

What do you mean by "the size is smaller"?

Are you resizing to height/width rather than longest side?

Ah i dont use tiff files i only use jpeg.......... Not sure that would make a difference though....?

Yes height width I have used longest edge before but not in this case as I want the max resolution saved

Have you set highly & width to the same? If not all portrait images will be smaller if you specified sizes for a landscape image. Longest side (or having height & width the same) means that images will come out the same size regardless of orientation.

The only way to change resolution is the resolution box.
