Lightroom Editing Tips I Found Interesting

Not much to do with calibration. I calibrate end to end so have a calibration profile for each camera. I used the X-RIte Colour checker Passport in conjunction with the Adobe Labs DNG profile Editor to produced the profiles. Lightroom automatically recognises my different cameras from the EXIF data and applies the correct profile. Using proper calibration is important for many professional photographers and probably essential for fashion photographers and high end wedding photographers. The effects that this presenter was producing could be produced in other ways but I personally like having a consistent calibrated start point for my editing. He is right that you do need to have an idea of what you want to achieve before fiddling with sliders.
