Can anyone recommend a good book that is easy to understand, yet fairly in depth on Lightroom 2 ???

Jon

Personally I really rate Martin Evening's book, I had the original version and got the second version when Lightroom 2 came out.

Both authors are good, however I do prefer Martin Evenings way of approaching matters.

There are some excellent videos out there as well.

+1 for Martin Evening.

I am a Scott Kelby man, you are one or the other, I love Kelby's approach, Evening is very good and technical, just not my style of learning.....

I would imagine Kelby would be cool to have a beer with whereas Evening would bore the pants off you !

Thanks for the tips guys...at least its down to two now!!

Here's a link to George Jardines (Adobe) blog where he details a shoot that Martin did to illustrate his book.

http://www.mulita.com/blog/?p=51

At the bottom is a link to George's iDisk where the video is located. You'll need to scroll down to the bottom of the list and open the folder 20080310 Video Pod Cast Martin Evening Fashion shoot. Then open the folder Large, the click on the "down" arrow next to the 236mb icon. You'll get the download of the fashion shoot and how they used Lightroom with it. Sorry the instructions to download are a bit complicated, don't blame me it's the way iDisk works.

By the way you may find some other podcasts that you may find interesting in the list

lightroom for digital photographers by kelby is so easy to understand and follow. despite his unfunny humour his books are well written and without mind blowing techy jargon!
