I'm about to process over 100 images in Lightroom, all to be cropped at 7" x 5".
Do I really have to choose 7" x 5" crop every image or is there a way to set it so it will always crop at 7" x 5" like in PS?

in the left hand screen there is a preset menu which you can set-up, not sure how as i hav,nt worked it out yet, but i,m sure some one will talk you through it. hth mike

You can crop one to 7" x 5" and then copy and paste that development setting over the rest. I think it crops from the original setting though so you have no control over what bit gets cropped.

Crop image, back to grid view. Right click image, Developer Settings / Copy Settings. Select the crop options. Select other photos, right click Developer Settings / Paste.

Bit bloody long winded :(
Will remember that though.. thanks

Easiest way.

Get first image and crop 7x5.

Then use shift + lh mouse button (or ctrl depending on what you want to select) to select all the images you want to crop.

In the library module bottom right is a button - sync. Click on this.

Up comes a pop up asking what settings you want to sync. Deselect all then select 'crop'.

Click OK.

1 Go to the Develop module
2. Press Control A (which selects all of your images)
3. Press R which opens up the area to select your crop.
4. make the 7x5 crop on your image
5. Click Sync (bottom right) and as stated above, deselect everything but the "crop" or do further edits that will be common to all images.

Done

The one problem with cropping is that you may want a different composition from one image to another and that means editing every image.
