Lightroom beta expired

I recently took the option of a beta trial on my lightroom addition. I now have a message saying the beta trial has expired and the application will now close.

Do i need to do a whole re-install to get my old lightroom version back? I don't know what i've done with the bloody serial number.
 
Your old version of Lightroom should still be around. LR Beta 3 install into a new location and uses a new catalogue, so all your old Lightroom files should still be in place
 
Your older version of LR's serial number should be on your Adobe account.
 
Only problem is old Lr will not open the Lr3 catalogue.
 
True that,... to avoid it you can embed the metadata or sync or whatever its called. That way all your keywords stay in their files etc,.. the only thing is your custom folders will be wiped. Bit of a pickle your in.

Try the uninstall / reinstall but before you reinstall do a registry clean.

Did you uninstall LR2? I seem to remember that the LR2 Beta only lasted 30 days with out an LR1 license on the system, maybe it is the same for the LR3 beta.

The serial number will be on the box if you bought a physical copy, or in your Adobe account if you bought the electronic version.

Have you got a catalogue back up from your LR2 installation?

FWIW the beta release is intended purely for testing and not to be part of your main workflow.
 
Very strange.... My Lightroom 3 beta is still going strong. It shouldn't expire until the final product is released for sale.

As above, your old lightroom should still be on the system unless you manually uninstalled it before installing LR3 beta. If you did uninstall it check in My Pictures in the Lightroom folder (or wherever you save your catalogue) for the file "Lightroom 2 Catalogue." If that is still there when you reinstall LR2 you wont have lost your edits, etc
 
LR3 Beta should be active until April

Do you mean lightroom beta 3 the normal lightrrom 2.0 trial or something else?
 
I'm confused really. I can't find my disc at the moment. I need to have a good look round the house. I think i was originally running Lightroom 2.5 or so?

Lightroom 2.6 RC has expired!
 
Lr2.6 should have worked alongside Lr3 unless you uninstalled 2.6? Bad move because the Lr3 catalogue files are not compatible with Lr2.
