Lightroom and Flickr

Does anyone know if it's possible to disable the retrieve comments part of the flickr uploader in Lightroom? If find it takes ages to get the comments which I have already read on the flickr site. In other words it's a waste of time.

I use Jeffrey's Flickr plugin, that doesn't have the retrieve comments feature.

What do these plugins give you over the functionality built into Lightroom for publidhing to Flickr?

I like the Jeffrey one as it seems to give you more options, I was using it with Lightroom 2 so kept using it.
