Lightroom 6 creating new date folder.

This is driving me nuts, every time I import a file into LR it creates a new folder with that day's date.

This is how it works, it's brilliant for finding photos by event date.

What I do is to create a new top level folder for each year, then select that folder the first time you use it (it remembers the folder), then you get the years folders under that.

If you haven't done this, it's worth creating the folder in lightroom and moving the created date folders under this. It'll help as you go forward using lightroom

The other reason I do this is because I import this years raws onto SSD for best performance and have previous years raws on a slower raid disk.

Over on the right is a check box which you can uncheck to stop Lightroom doing this.
