Yes
Will the subscription cover you for LR6 when it comes out or are you 'stuck' with the LR5 bundle?

Or is this an unknown until its released?

Subscription entitles you to all the latest editions of the products so yes LR6 will be included.

From Adobe's faq:

Can I use my software on two computers?
If you own, or are the primary user of, a single-user or volume license Adobe product that is installed on a computer at work, you can also install and use the software on one secondary computer of the same platform at home or on a portable computer. However, you may not run the software simultaneously on both the primary and secondary computers.

So yes, providing they are both Windows or both Mac. Can't mix the two platforms. You will need to organise where you store files though so they are available from each computer.

I run mine on 2 platforms, a Macbook and a Windows PC. Don't remember seeing anywhere where it say you can't.

Well from their own faq:

Why can't I use my software on different platforms?
Adobe develops software for different platforms (such as Mac OS, Windows, Linux) and sells the software built for separate platforms as separate products. If you want to use the products on different platforms, it's necessary to purchase a license of the software for each platform you use. A serial number for a product for one platform cannot be used for the same product for another platform.

I'm not buying, only renting in effect, no serial number required.

True, maybe that only applies to the bought versions, not CC.

Can't find the link, but I remember this question being asked, near the start of the creative cloud model. It was confirmed, by Adobe, that two installs were allowed, regardless of platform.

Adobe's Creative Cloud FAQ says:

Can I use the software I download from Creative Cloud on more than one machine?
Yes. Creative Cloud desktop applications can be downloaded and installed on multiple computers, regardless of operating system. However, activation is limited to two machines per individual associated with the membership.

Before moving to CC I used my LR3, LR4 and LR5 serials on both my desktop PC and Macbook Pro without any issues.
