Lightroom 6.3 Upgrade

Something I have never seen, probably to my stupidity is the upgrade from v5 to v6. I'm still on v5. Is the upgrade a payable exercise, or have I missed a download somewhere?

Version changes (ie 5.x to 6.x) are always paid. Updates within a version are free
 
Weird, even though it's released, I can't seem to make the creative cloud find it.
In LR, go to help>updates, and nothing there. Oh well, wait and see I guess.
 
Just set LR CC updating now ...... 3% 4% 5% etc etc

I went from 4 to 6 because 6 is the last of the purchasable, run at home versions. After this only CC will be available.
It's also worth it for dehaze ;)
 
Can't find it now - think it was on something I got as a mailshot from Adobe, upgrade now, last copy before cc only. Handy as I get student discount, so it worked out cheap compared to CC monthly cost. I have photoshop cs5.5 which is fine for me.

I thought only the CC versions got dehaze, may I ask please where can it be found on LR 6 standalone version, I'm running ver 6.1

Really? I must look again/more thoroughly. I was aware that 6.1 has the de-haze engine 'under the hood' and I have installed the 3rd party plugin........but if in the effects panel in 6.1 and not just CC, a no brainer to use it there.

Rich (tijuana taxi), have you had a look and confirmed that???

@Box Brownie, Not as yet, need to log on the pc for LR

**edit** Just checked and definitely nothing there, we are talking about LR6 standalone version not CC

You can get plugin brush/preset for dehaze in standalone LR6.

Yes, ^^^^as above^^^^^^ I have got the plugin and so far IMO nicer & simpler than presets.

@tijuana taxi thanks for checking........I was pretty sure it was not there in LR6, users of cc have more additions quickly for which we perpetual license users will need to wait until LR7 onwards.
 
Yup - dehaze is available through plugins. There's another lightroom post on here where I posted details. Theres two options, a slider which pops up, or custom actions which I have set is steps of 9
