Lightroom 5 on Ebay for a reasonable price (£30 ish)

Good buy??

More important is v5 good enough for a 2nd fiddle programme

(I use v6 on another computer, and pay Adobe monthly)

Check your licence, you may be able to run LR6 on more than one machine..

Yes. I have LR 5 and PSE 11 on both my Mac (El Capitan) and Laptop PC (Win 10).

Not sure how Adobe would know if you're using both machines at the same time, but within the terms of the licence you're not supposed to do that.
