Lightroom 5.4 Download Size

I've just downloaded and installed the latest LR 5.4 update.

I see Adobe have bundled both 32 bit and 64 bit versions in the same download.

You end up downloading almost 1Gb, half of which is not required.

Image the thousands (millions?) of people downloading that extra 500Mb across the world.

seriously though a LOT of people still use 32bit platforms. i guess adobe just figure it easier for the installer to automatically install the correct version rather than let the user potentially download the wrong one, then lodge a support case when it doesnt work etc.

You're probably right, but if a million people dowload the update then that's around 500 Terabytes worth of data flying around for nothing.
Or half a Petabyte, or is it bite a pita, or just P.I.T.A.
