I currently use Lightroom 4 on two Macs.

Is there anyway of extracting the edited RAW files from one Mac & transferring them to the other Mac, so that all edited RAW files are together?
 
Yes. Kind of


You never actually edit the raw files themselves, you just ammend the changes in the database.

You can export the library or parts of it including the raw files into another library if you want to.

I've done it myself a fair few times when on holiday and workign onthe laptop i then want to move those pictures over to my main machine.

Is it as easy as just export from one machine, then import into the other?
 
Can you open the same library from the second mac? If not can you share the drive it is located on?
 
Use File>Export as a Catalog and File>Import from another catalog. This will include all your adjustments and metadata
