Edit My Images
No
I can't figure out how to open a previously edited photo in LR. When I edit I just export as a .jpg to the same folder on my desktop - I don't create a catalogude - but I think I will in future!

When I try to 're-import' the pic is greyed out and only those pics which haven't previously been imported can be. It's hopefully a simple thing but I can't figure it out.

Thanks,
Al

Edit: OK - I've found I can open it by double clicking on the greyed out image , but how can I further edit it?
Thanks again, Al

Right - I'm getting there! Created a catalogue and the pics magically appeared as they should, ie not greyed out and it is possible to open them in the Develop module.

It only remains for me to ask one more question at the moment. Is there a way of checking what previous adjustments I made when I originally edited a phot?

LR has a history pane on the left hand side of the develop module.

If you have images visible in LR then they are already in a Catalog. When you export an image there will be an option box to check that will add the exported image(s) to that Catalog. Otherwise you'll need to re-import it from the folder.

Creating more than one Catalog can be counter-productive as each one is an independent entity so you wont have your collection in just one place and will have to switch catalogs. Unless this is what you really want.
