I think "Publish service" is what you should be searching for. I've not heard of anything though.
To get photos onto my iOS devices I use a publish service to my hard drive, which I have set iTunes to monitor and then sync to devices. I have a service & monitored folder for each device so that they can be resized to the screen dimensions.
