Lightroom 4 £67 on Amazon

Bargain! But it's very different from Elements - search the forum for many threads on the subject. I have both, but haven't touched Elements in months. LR does everything I need.

Horses for courses, i use Elements 9 and find Lightroom terrible to use.

Is that the price for the full version or the upgrade version?

It's a good program but very intensive on the computer!

LR 4 is superb for most of your photo editing and sorting needs - well worth that money any day...

I have PE10 & CS4 but since I bought LR4, a week or two ago, I am virtually always using LR. I guess if you did a poll on here it may be 50/50 but as said by other posters download the free trial. However I don't think I could have got myself motivated enough to learn how to use it with the trial. However since buying I have been almost obsessed with learning and watched loads of tutorials on YouTube. I found it is quite a steep learning curve - unless I is thick

I used to think the same. I found LR very hard to use but now I'm used to it I couldn't live without it. When you get your head round it, its a VERY useful tool! :)

Tried it a couple of times and it drives be bleedin bonkers, Elements does everything and more i need to do pitchside and i dont beleive anything could make my workflow quicker

Even opening a single file is a mess about in Lightroom

Yep, from reading the reviews it seems to run very slowly on older and/or low spec computers. My ageing PC even struggles a bit with LR3 so that is stopping me from upgrading to the latest version. That's a great price though!

I really like LR though - learning curve is not too hard to overcome with a decent book or watching a few youtube videos - I find Elements harder to get my head around but then I guess everyone is different. I think it's pretty easy to pick up the basics on Lightroom and it can make a massive difference to your photos as well as rescue the ones where you mess up the exposure or white balance.

does this indicate LR5 is around the corner? Anyone heard anything?

 I've only just got LR4 & have been learning how to use it - LR5 eeek!!

Oh man, was just about to go get it and it's back up to over £90! Ah well …
