My wife is a student, with an NUS card, however she isnt studying anything to do with photography.
Has anyone got anything on a student package that doesnt study photography and had any problems?
2 years ago I studied Media in college and helped my friend buy his CAD software and also Logic for his mac. They don't ask questions!
But the point is, my wife is studying finance, can she get it. Apparently you have to apply for the licence code from adobe? is that the same for all student programmes?
Taken from the link in my post above:
Who may purchase and use Adobe Student and Teacher Editions?
The following individuals are eligible to purchase Adobe Student and Teacher Editions:
University and college students students enrolled at a higher education institution defined as an accredited public or private university or college (including community, junior, or vocational college) that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two years of full-time study
So if she wants a license for her to use and the uni/college she is at meets the requirements she is fine.... doesn't help if you need to use it though.
Most of the restrictions seem related to the purchase of the software. There does not seem to be specific restrictions on who can use it once purchased so long as it is not re-sold or used for business purposes.
The best way to save some cash is to get on a OU course yourself and buy it legitimately.
Thats spending money to save money, meaning you probably pay more in the long run.
How would that be saving money?Thats spending money to save money, meaning you probably pay more in the long run.

My wife is a school science tech and was able to buy LR3 at the cheaper price, wouldn't matter if she couldn't seeing as my daughter is taking a full time uni course

Unfortunately this is in breach of the copyright of the software as stated above so probably not the best thing to admit to in an open forum![]()
