I have just downloaded the trial of LR3 and was wondering who did this and if they went on to purchase it. If your not a student etc it's quite expensive.

Absolutely the best program to edit and manage your images on. It's much cheaqper for a student. Get the education version (same as the full edition) but much cheaper.
 
Played around with the trial, liked it and bought it two weeks ago, I'm not a student unfortunately but go for it, you wont be disappointed.
Don't know when you bought your GF 1 but if it was recently then you can apply for your free copy of Elements 9 to go with L3 until 30th Jan

I cannot remember what it used to be called but I used it before Adobe purchased the programme and turned it into Lightroom - it is one of the few (only) programmes I have actually updated with each version. If you are serious about your photography and want a programme where you can catelogue your images and are dedicated at keywording them every time you download so you can easily find any image amoungst the thousands that accummulate. Plus do basic editing and sorting then it is worth it.

If you just take a few pictures occasionally then it probably is not
 
I went that route - downloaded the trial then bought it and have had all the upgrades since. Do much less in Photoshop now than I use to. If you want to pay slightly less order the CD rather than the download (though that may change after the 4th Jan once VAT goes up).

Jim - I suspect the original was posted from an iPhone/iPad - there is apparently an issue with NSFW being the default on the app.

Hi mate,
I don't know why it's marked like this. I posted it using the TP iPhone app and it would only let me post with this selected..?

Hi Frank, where is this offer. I purchased the GF1 in July.

People have recommended buying through the Student discount but if your not a student this is impossible..?

I seem to remember we did the trial of version1.0 when it came out but we just upgrade now, for the bulk of the batching work it's great, it may be dear but not as dear as photoshop proper.

You may have already seen it but there is a way round this. When the dialog comes up with the NSFW option (and no other) you need to cancel it. It will then add the post without it (apparently - I have moved to Android now ) :)

LR3 is awesome!!! I used just Photoshop before and wondered what all the LR fuss was about. Downloaded the trail and was 100% convinced within a day :) I love it!!! It's one of the best investments I made for my photography :)
