Lightroom 3 - purple sky and water..??

Help anyone. Got LR3 the other day - never used it before so very new to it. Just wanted to delve straight in so imported a folder with some outdoor images on... but when they come in or are viewed in developer, all the sky has a purple tone to it, as does the water.??

When I view the images in any other application or viewer they all look fine.

I have applied no filters or anything.

Tried importing anther folder with similar outdoor images but a different location.. and got the smae issue.?

I use a 7D and these shots were taken as .jpgs

Am I missing something here.?? If it's really obvious I apologise but I can see whats happened.

I know I'm on a steep learning curve too so bear with me - I hear so much about LR3 so thought I'd better jump in. Wishing I hadn't right now

Bottom right hand side click reset to default which will reset the image to as it was in camera, you must have something on when you imported the images

Could you have the highlight clipping enabled in develop mode by any chance?

Try reducing the exposure slider and see if it goes away to verify if it is this.

In LR2.7 (which I have) it was set to red by default but could be purple in LR3, I can't check as I recently took the trial of LR3 of my computer as I prefere CO5 now.
