Lightroom 3 not recognising .cr2 Files

Hey folks,

I've got Lightroom 3 but it doesn't recognise the RAW .CR2 files from my Canon 600D.

Any ideas why this is? I've checked for updated and it says no updates available, I've tried importing from the camera, through a card reader and put them on my HDD and tried importing that way.

These files won't open in Photoshop either but they do open in Canon's software?

I've looked online and no one seems to have a solution, I know there was a problem in lightroom 2.6 (from looking through the old TP posts) but no fixes in there either?
 
Looking at the Adobe compatibility list, it sounds like your camera is too new, you will probably need to wait for the next update of Lightroom/Camera Raw.
