Lightroom 3 noise reduction much improved

It looks like they've done a major revamp of the noise reduction capability of Lightroom 3 compared to v2.

The result is vastly improved improved - much more ability to retain detail and avoid that knobbly texture it used to give you. Very cool indeed.

Excellent news. Must get round to downloading LR3 at some point but need a quiet period

The main things I've noticed in Develop are much improved sharpening and noise reduction, with finer control and much better results. Some cool new presets as well.

The new import facility is pretty swish too, not that I thought there was much wrong with the old version. Lots of other minor tweaks all over the place too.

The lens correction profiles are the business.

Makes my 10-20 look like a decent lens, completely corrects distortions and vignettes. Best bit so far for me.
