So ive just gone through my 20k something files in lightroom and decided to have a good clean out before i move the files over to my new machine.

I have a fair few photos to delete, around 1.5k of photos and have just marked them all as rejected. I've gone to delete them and nothing happens.....

When i select under 100 of them, say 90 i can delete fine...

Is there a safety cut off built into lightroom somewhere that wont allow you to delete over 100 files in one hit?

Or is my lightroom playing silly buggers?

I've never noticed that. Are you using CMD-Del (I think, not at my Mac to test) to delete all rejected images?

so without a bit of jiggery pokery its not possible? Ive read that post and people seem pretty angry about it :(

Holy thread revival!

Just ran into this very problem. It is because of a publishing service(s) using some of the files you are attempting to delete.

I just deleted temporarily my flickr publishing service, and hey presto it let me delete 1.5k of pictures without having to do in batches of 100.

Hope that helps someone. :)

No worries - glad to be of assistance.
