Hi,

I had LightRoom 1.4 and upgraded to Lightroom 2. But something in windows broke and I had to reinstall. Before the reinstall, there was a function which allowed me to click on the top-right corner of a thumbnail and it would add that picture to the "Quick selection". Since the reinstall, this function has disappeared from LR2.

Anyone know how I can get this back?

Cheers

Thumbnails in the main window or the filmstrip?

Not entirely sure where it may have gone, but you can always press "b" on your keyboard to add/remove images from the quick collection

either press b

or there's a little circle appears in the top right when in grid view that is filled with grey when it's in the quick selection. Clicking it toggles it, although I don't think this is visible outside of grid view.

Or right click / add to quick collection

Its the thumbnails in the filmstrip along the bottom.
I just found it quick and easy to see the grey circles in the thumbnail...
Guess I'll have to resort to pressing b...

Thanks for your help everyone.

If it's the ones in the film strip try making the film strip bigger then the buttons will appear again.

Made the film strip bigger and the Quick selection circles are back!! woohoo!!

Thanks alot Craikeybaby!

No worries, this had me confused for ages when I upgraded to Lightroom 2 as well.
