Yes
i wouldn't trust that site at all!!! Its using a default installation of an open source ecommerce package with no info at all about the company.

I would avoid to be honest. The other thing is they may send you a copied disk...if you are lucky

Whilst I may be maligning them, a website offering only 3 products with no contact information exudes an aroma of fish to me.

Do not Buy, will update shortly !!!

Took a huge gamble on this, and just had a very succesful download, setup and full registration. Fingers crossed all okay at present.

Will keep you all posted as to long term effects if any

You just paid £45 for pirated software.

Looks dodgy.

"Matthew" at Adobe has confirmed this is not legitimate, and they are now investigating this.

Matthew: The provided cost for Adobe Lightroom 2.0 is not legitimate.

Andy Drake: Thanks, that was my feeling as well... they are trading as FFComputers:

Andy Drake: Thanks, I will not support Pirates.

Matthew: You are welcome.

Matthew: Please allow me to document this chat session in a case and provide you the Case Number.

Doh!

Just checked that out AWP.

Just asked for a VAT receipt, this should be interesting :)

Just contacted payment company, about this they are investigating too

Not being funny, but isn't this a "horse bolted" situation.

It was clearly dodgy, why did you proceed? A two second "due diligence" check would have found this out.

The company will disappear, and you've paid £45 for pirated software which is worthless and you need to uninstall and delete.

Hey, I've got an Aunt in Nigeria with a wooden leg.. do you want to send some money for her in exchange for some magic beans?

Update, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS VENDOR.

Have spoken to Adobe and the processing company who dealt with the transaction.

Adobe have this under investigation. They say that these companies are not interested in the software they are selling but the CC number. They will keep the details for use at a busy period, ie holidays etc when they hope you wont notice any money coming off.

Waiting on phone call from processing company who are also investigating this, they have already contacted me this morning for details.

Upshot is, I have now to change bank details

Yes PD its a case of "horse bolted" feel so stupid now.

Lessons to be learned from this I think :bonk::bonk::bonk:

Always remember...if it looks too good to be true, it usually is....

If she has any left, I could really use some of those magic beans. One thing that I worry about is why would anyone with magic beans would need need to sell them. Just public spirited I guess.

Can she do Paypal?

If you email Nominet they will force him to put his correct contact details on whois as they are trading. Bit like Filterfantastic - they have fake contact info listed as well.....

Get a new card with new details mate to be on the safe side.

Just go to the bank and tell them that you used your card online and have since recieved emails that they clone cards so you would like to cancel it and order a new one.
5-7 working days for card
5-7 working days (after activating card) for pin.
