Hi,
I am trying to water mark an image.
When I imported the image I inputed my copyright info.

When I then export as a jpeg there is a tick box under the mega data section, for add water mark.

However when I view the jpeg image I do not see the water mark.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for any help'
Alex

There is no way to watermark an image in LR 2.7 without using the Mogrify Plug-in. Are you sure you are not using LR3 - sounds like you might be.

Hi,
No it is 2.7, I had read about 3.0. So I had a look at the export options on my 2.7. It is definitely there as a tick box, but it seems not to work.

I think it might only work if I export as a PDF slide show, but I thought I might being something wrong, or it only appeared when you printed or something.
Thanks for getting back thou. Does the Mogrifty plug in work easily, I had seen some threads during my search that had problems getting it to work.
Mind you how good is the function in 3.0?

I see it now - it takes the info from the copyright line in the EXIF. If there is nothing there - then you won't get a watermark.

LR3 is better in every department - I wouldn't bother with Mogrify (don't need it with LR3 anyway).

I was looking at 2.7.
Can you look at the Copyright field in the EXIF in LR in the RH column - is that filled in with info? That's where it is taken from. If that looks correct then I'm stumped I'm afraid.

Yes, it is under the mega data in the library section, I have put there when I import the first time.
Perhaps I will try deleting it, then retype it in.
Funny isn't, it always the little small things that cause the grief lol

Sussed it now, I asked the question over at the Lightroom forums.
I was exporting too bigger a file, the size I would normally export to print.
When I reduced the size more suitable for the web, you could see it then.
It is always easy once you know!

makes sense - hadn't thought of that.

Hi Alex

I have the same version of LR and have been trying to do the same. I added the Mogrify plug-in but it doesn't seem to work and keep on getting error messages. I emailed Mr Armes but have yet to receive a reply.

I have been playing with LR for almost two weeks now and am still waiting for a book to arrive to be able to learn the different functions.

Care to share how to do it?

cheers

gio

LR 3 has watermarking built in so you don't need Mogrify.
