No easy way in lightroom, if you have photoshop as well you could make a virtual copy in lightroom, apply the preset to one, send both to photoshop and layer them in that and lower the opacity on the preset one.
In lightroom if you know whats too strong in the preset, lower that then save that as a new preset, then just apply that in future.
Is it one of the default presets on one you made/downloaded??
