lightoom 5 help

Ok this is probably a really stupid question but I'm new to this and I'm lost and Google hasn't been much help haha...

So I have imported and edited my raws in lightroom 5 and now I also want to add them again to do different edits (b+w) but I know I can't import again to edit so how do I go around this?

Sorry I know it will be a stupid question with an obvious answer

If i am reading you correctly all you need to do is make a copy in lightroom. Click on Photo>create virtual copy.
