Hi all

i need/want some studio lights and background stuff :), but i am totally lost in what i need, i dont have much of a budget. i would rather go for elinchrom or lencantara :)

sorry for the questions, i thought i would separate them into there groups :)

To photograph what? People or things? Space you have available? Need a backdrop? How much is "not much of a budget"?
 
ah sorry i forgot to include that infomation. to photograph people. i will make the space ;). a backdrop would be handy are fabric better than paper?. i could go to £300
 
Well having researched this quite a lot recently, a Lencarta smart flash kit is probably your best option if you want more than one head for your budget. If you just want one head then you can look at all brands for that money. The smartflash won't allow you to turn the beep off but other than that they are great value for money. Find an extra £100 and you could go for the Elitepro starter set. Bit more power and option to turn off beep.

Another £100 on top of that the Elinchrom Xmas special at The Flash Centre would be a great option...

Save the money on a backdrop and use a wall or sheet etc temporarily till you can afford that too...
