Lighting stands

Here's a really easy question (I hope).

I'm looking into using a couple of remote flash guns, which I currently mount on a pair of standard tripods. This works ok, but when I put a brolly on there the tripods are fine bu the legs interfere with the brolly if you try and angle down.

So I think lighting stands might be the answer. My wireless triggers have a standard tripod bush and I was wondering if these will fit straight onto a lighting stand or will do they have different size thread?

cheers

Paul

Everyone recommends the Konig Stands which are available from Amazon and 7dayshop.
However, you will need an umbrella adaptor, as the thread on the stands is too big to put your triggers or flash directly onto.
FITP sells these. Shown in post 4 in this thread.

Konig

They actually have a 1/4in stud on top of the normal spigot which is handy, but as Rowla says you need one of FITP's ball-head adapters to fit the brolly and to angle the flash anyway.

Both items are good quality and very well priced.

Exactly what Rowla says.

I bought one of those Konig stands they're great, compact and light.
