You may have seen a couple of threads with regards to some Tempest style shots I have taken. As I have done in the past, my studio is very DIY, so I wanted to post a shot of the set up and see what advice you could give me to improve the shots. I am happy with them, but struggled with getting some of them sharp, so was looking to see what settings you would use.

So, I have a brown fleece blanket as a background, the black fabric is just to cover the reflection from the mirror.

Left hand side is a Yongnuo flash, set at full whack and fired through a shower curtain to give a softbox type effect.

The smaller table has a jessops flash set at low power cabled to fire to light the background, with the table to block the light from the subject, and stopping the kids kicking the flash over. More shower curtain used as a diffuser.

I also had a second jessops flash diffused and bounced on camera. I used this mainly to trigger the Yongnuo's optical sensor, sometimes putting it behind the same screen as the Yongnuo.

The shots can be seen here, so anything, however small would be appreciated.

(oh and the Ritz box was a snoot for when I tried lighting the background from above).

Thanks.
