Hi, I am absolutely amazed by the work of the photographer who shot latest LV campaign with Madonna.

Though a lot of photoshopping is done to the image I like the final color outcome. I sort of understand the lighting setup on the object/Model but just unsure how he achieved the two shades at the curtains on the back.
Can anyone help plzz!

The photographer is Steven Meisel, the 'shopping is based on solarisation techniques with film, so you get those funky almost inverted shadows.

The colour in the background is likely just the shadows and highlights being messed around by the processing.

There could be a gel on a light somewhere to create more of a contrast between areas as well.

Here's a (terrible) video for you of the shoot, you get a shot of a bit of the setup albeit in black and white, at about 45 seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-nBXW1EnFk

Oh, and it seems to be their 2009 campaign as well. ;)

it works really well - funky and flattering at the same time - detracting from the slightly over-muscly arms

I like how image that looks, anyone know of any photoshop videos/tutorials that cover this type of PP ?

Sure they'll be out there, just search solarisation.

Tried doing a search, but can't find anything pertaining to this type of digital image, anyone please ? :)

Did you search solarisation photoshop? Or solarisation with any other editing program? Because that took me straight to a load of tutorials:thinking:

Hey Phil the tutorials I found on YouTube are mostly for greyscale images and doesn't give the effect that's on Madonna's images
