Hi everyone. I need some help on choosing my first set of strobes. What make would you guys recommend? Elinchrom isn't in my budget unfortunately. Its for a brand new studio which is 24 x12 feet. Thank you for sny help.

Thanks very much. Im reading lots abt Lencarta. Although a beginner I'm looking at buyingba decent set which I can grown in.
 
I too have Lencarta lights and can thoroughly recommend.

If you want something more 'advanced' then take a look at their Elite Pro range - 300 & 600s.
 
Do you know what you want/need. What will you be shooting? Do you have any kit already?

As above, I can see that you feel you don't want to waste money buying twice, but Lencarta is a good price / performance balance.

Also, like cameras and lenses, you should be looking to spend at least as much on modifiers as on the lights themselves.

If you're equipping a studio, you need more stands than lights, boom arm, maybe some short stands, soft boxes, strip boxes, grids, reflectors with grids, background reflectors, beauty dish, brollies, reflectors and brackets, cine foil, black card, etc. etc.
 
thanks everyone. I will check on Ebay. Problem is I will neeed to be shipped to Mauritius. I have continuous lighting with already with soft box and umbrellas.

Im hoping to get more into creative portraiture.

I have checked on ebay and even Amazon. Cant see anything listed for lencarta kits. Any other strobes you would recommend?

any other stockiest for Lencarta. iv checked their webdite and cant see tge pro elite 300 for sale?

How about the neewer kits on amazon?

Lencarta sells direct to customers, helps to keep prices down - ordered through the website, though you may have to contact them re shipping to Mauritius.
