lighting for this?

ok, simple idea i had for part of a shoot but wondered how this sort of thing would have been lit.

the idea for the nwa style came after watching rob and big when they ahd the pics taken in the similar style:

I think you've answered your own question there, although maybe the light was just the bare reflector as the shadows look quite harsh

Ok will give this a go then
Think i will use a softbox as i dont want the light to be quite so harsh.

Cool, you could always try both if you have the time. Another halfway house would be to use a reflected silver brolly or a beauty dish - both give a harder light than a softbox but not quite as hard as bare light.
