I have decided to really push my photography so I have various facebook friends modelling for me over the next month -they're doing it in return for a couple of prints.

My first one is tomorrow morning and it is the first in a series of maternity shoots with the same model as her bump grows. The model used to life model for art classes so is happy to show as much flesh as I want which is brilliant as it allows me to be more creative!

So I'm now thinking about lighting, I plan to use a black background, one light and a reflector - not very creative I know! Anyone any suggestions on lighting for this shoot? Sadly I don't have any gels or huge amounts of kit - I have 3 studio lights and two reflectors I can put into use - although I don't think that will be necessary! I can also use a white background or grey - I thought I might do one on a white background and just silhouette the subject.

All help and advice appreciated!!

I would go for a really low key look black background or even a white as long as no light spills on to it then have a strobe or flash head with a soft box pointing at your model but more backwards so only the emphasis on the bump is lit will post pic shortly
