Isn't for me, but anyway. Is this light bulb okay for a light tent?

"DULUX S 9W/865"

Here are the details copied from the datasheet:

Electrical data
Nominal wattage 9 W
Rated lamp efficacy (standard condition) 66 lm/W
Rated wattage 8.7 W
Light technical data
Color rendering index Ra 80…89
Rated luminous flux 570 lm
Light color 865
Color temperature 6500 K
Nominal luminous flux 570 lm
Light color as per EN 12464-1 LUMILUX DE LUXE Cool Daylight
Rated LLMF at 2,000 h 0.77
Rated LLMF at 4,000 h 0.72
Rated LLMF at 6,000 h 0.69
Rated LLMF at 8,000 h 0.68
Luminance 2.8 cd/cm²

There are also 4000K lamps, which I could quote as well, if needed.

570lm is about the same light output as a 40w incandescent bulb.

Will that be bright enough??

I find 2 things very annoying on forums:

1. Multiple question marks.
2. Posting in threads of other people without answering their questions.

No offense.

It's not very bright but that may not be important, assuming that it will be used with a decent tripod.

What concerns me more is the CRI, which is below the normally accepted photography standard. A low CRI bulb will give false colours at the red end - red becomes orange, orange becomes yellow etc.

Would you have something to recommend, of a similar shape?

If not similar shape (which wouldn't be as good, because he would have to buy a lamp too!), then something else.

If it has the standard E27 (Edison screw) fitting then this one will do the job

1. Could easily have been a typo.
2. He was kind enough to tell you how bright the light bulb would be so that you would have a point of reference and could determine yourself whether the bulb would be bright enough for you.

Sorry, I didn't answer your question did I? ;)

Wow, that is costly! Is there anything cheaper?
If you think it's costly, don't buy it. There are plenty of alternatives, whether or not those alternatives will be adequate depends on your standards. Lamps designed for household use, where CRI doesn't matter, wouldn't meet my standards but they may meet yours.

I find 2 things very annoying on forums too:

1. The use of American English on co.uk forums.
2. People who can't read into a response and realise it is a valid response to their question.

No offence.

So I'll rephrase my post for you.

As 570lm is the equivalent output to a 40w incandescent bulb this may or may not be suitable depending depending on what you mean by "is it okay" :bang:
