Light trails

You gotta love light trails!

Could do with a little something something to give it some more life.

Was you standing right next to the train?

no tripod lol, is it worth getting the cheapest one or should i be getting a average to good one?

as said you can pick up decent tripods for very little money. Not an absolute must have, but does make it easier, especially if there is no railing or somewhere to leave the camera (where it will not be affected by movement)

well as i said i forgot my tripod .. used a railing .. did have a remote shutter release though

as you say trial and error .. but the possibility's are endless .. what ever you do is your stamp m8

remote is useful as well :)

i tried some long exposures just messings with a tourch last night but i saved RAW files and i though photoshop CS3 would open them but they are saved as NEF files which seem to be the RAW files. I'm not sure what to do :s

It doesnt have to be traffic you photograph to get light trails :P

A torch taped to about 5ft of string attached to the ceiling, then started it swaying and taking a long exposure.

I had to use an nd8 to darken the output from the torch down so it didnt just leave a trail with no colour.
