I am in need of a bag to carry my lightstands in when out and about, I have 3 of the Konig Amazon stands, which come in their own little individual bag, I also carry two umbrellas which fit in those bags too, they have the ball heads on them, which adds about 2inches to the length.

All i'm after is a bag to put the three in together. I've seen one by Kata which is around £70  and one from ebay hong kong which is about £10 and would likely last one day, theres another one on B&H for $35, but by the time you've paid for UK shipping it gets a bit silly.

What do you use? I've had all sorts of thoughts like hockey stick bag, army surplus holdall

I'd be looking to spend around £30.

I hear the cricket bags with wheels on are pretty good, get lots of stuff in them.

I got this 3-stand bag from Lencarta which is good for £20 - then they go and spoil it with a punative flat rate postage charge. It's a bit longer than you need for those stands, but I like the roll design as you can load tons of stuff in it if the like. I sometimes have five stands and three brollies wrapped up in it :) http://www.lencarta.com/bags-cases/bag002-universal-stand-holdall/index.php

The one from elemental is pretty good, £15 (dunno how much postage would run you to, may be included), and will probably hold 4 or 5 konig stands and some brollies :) Bit awkward to get the last stand into though, could see the lencarta being neat with its roll out layout.

UK shipping is free last time I checked.

That looks like a nice bag for stands! Can always use another so I just ordered one - postage was £6.99 extra.

Thanks for the replies, exactly what I was after

I bought a bag off of Fleabay, holds a couple of stands plus umbrellas, maybe I should find out who the manufacturer is.....

Some thread necromancy. Is anyone using the Lencarta bag and how are you liking it?

Yes, the Lencarta roll-up jobbie. I like it because it's long enough for the biggest stands and you can drop all sorts of stuff in the middle and just roll it up, secured with the long velcro'd straps. I carry three stands in there, boom, reflector stand, three umbrellas - basically anything long and thin.

I also use the Elemental bag...Easily holds 3 x 3m air damped tripods....

Awesome, maybe a post-Christmas present for myself. I guess it doesn't have any extra pockets for flash-guns, has it?

Sportsdirect do a hockey bag for £9.99, does the job for me rather nicely.

My stands are also in Lencarta bags . Very strong sturdy bags for my larger stands . I also have a hockey bag for my lighter ones but wouldn't trust it with more expensive than one of my large air damped as it wouldn't hold the weight .

£14 from Photosel. Had it out on location many, many times over the last year and it hardly looks used. (The price has gone up by £2 since i bought it, but I still think it's a bargain ;) )

Have had it loaded with 3 x full height stands, 2 umbrellas, 3 tripods (1 mini, 1 Velbon and a very solid carbon fibre Manfroto) and there was still room enough to not struggle getting stuff in and out. It's not fancy and padded, but as it's worst treatment is in the back of my car, that hasn't been a problem.

I've packed 3 strobes, 1 battery pack (very heavy), 2 reflectors, 3 grids and still had room for cables in the bag my cheapo Interfit EX150's came in - which is a little padded and I also use bubble wrap between items on the inside.

I also bring a Lastolite backdrop with a stand and the bag for those has plenty of room for two fold up softboxes.
