Light seals for 120 film backs (?)

Although he's based in the USA, the seals usually arrive within a week - he pops them in a normal envelope so it comes quickly.

they are quite easy to make up to be honest, I have done two of mine for the RB67.

Worth noting on the RB the Pro-SD film backs do not need light seals as they re-engineered the backs.

If you have a 'Hobby Crafts' shop near you they sell sheets of sticky-backed black foam for 80 pence -- I did a lot of seals in my old cameras.

I'll add that what I'm really buying from Jon Goodman are the instructions. The kit is very good, but the instructions are invaluable. There were seals in my Bronica back that I didn't even know existed.

+1

They were invaluable when I resealed a Ricoh 500 - a camera which has enough light seal to cause a worldwide shortage of black foam.

Thanks Richard for that link (and others, greatly appreciated). Which mm thickness is the one to go for...??

Thanks;
Peter

I bought a roll of 2mm and 3mm for different jobs, should last me a lifetime. :)

Peter,
I went for 25mm width which allows me to guillotine whatever lengths and widths I need. Good luck.

Hi Pete,

New to this, so i apologise if connecting in such a manner is frowned upon at all!
I saw your post about RZ seals, and i'm having the same issue! I just wondered if the 3mm
thickness on the foam was a good measurement to go for? I was looking at getting either 2mm
or 3mm.. Maybe you can help!?

Ollie
