hi ive just made the switch to a mac from a pc.
so i know i have to buy a new version of lightroom but im wondering if i can move my cataloge and pre sets ive made to the mac version or do i have to start again.
even just the pre sets would be good.
 
it should all work fine, you will just need to do a 'find missing photos/folder' to reconnect the files, but it will all work!
 
You can move the license from PC to Mac. Not done it myself, but there have been a few here who have. IIRC, you have to unregister the PC version first...
 
The Lightroom license is transferable from PC to Mac. Provided you don't have it installed om more than 1 desktop and 1 laptop then all is fine. Just download the Mac version from Adobe and use the license key you already have.

Speak to Adobe and they'll transfer your licence free :)

Catalogues are all transferable too - I share some with a friend who second shoots with me and he edits first and sends me the catalogue (he uses a mac I'm on PC).
