Light off water

I went out and got some pics at a country park at the weekend just to try different settings and get used to the lens a bit. Some were of water and the obligatory ducks were used as targets for the pics, but there was glare coming off the water. If I had been looking for proper shots rather than disposable ones would it have been possible to have saved any in photoshop? I have got elements 3 but don't know where to look!

If you could post up an example or two to give people a better idea the it'd probably help.
I'd invest in a Circular Polarising filter if it were me & I found myself shooting this kind of thing a lot - the filter will vary the amount of light is entering your lens from different angles (this is adjusted by turning the front of the lens) Really technical explanation there
This results in less/no glare from water (you can adjust the filter so as the water becomes transparent) & it also means that colours may be adjusted accordingly - skies made deeper blue, etc. Very useful filters to own

Thanks, I think I may still have one at home, will post it tonight. I am getting a filter in case I do take that sort of thing again. I was practicing the technical things like turning the bits on the lens so was not bothered about the glare at the time

This has got the glare, I know the settings were wrong, but they were wrong deliberately so I could see the differences!

Thanks, thats a good one to remember :)

Interestingly they did not look as bad on my work computer as they do on the lappy!
