Light Box?

What is a light box and what is it used for? I bought something which I thought was one but I'm now thinking that it isn't!

Setup pictures would be a great help

Thats quite similar to what I have, although manufactured and not Blue Peter'ed, although mine doesn't have a roof. I tried a 40w table lamp with it and thought there wasn't enough light, although it wasn't done through the jobbie on the top.

I knew I didn't know what I was prattling on about

I'm talking about a light tent!

A 40w bulb to illuminate a tent is not going to do it. I would suspect 100-150W minimum. Personally with mine I use flash.Ideally you want to illuminate via the soft white diffuser material to give softer shadows. This unfortunately does eat up a lot of light due to the diffusion effect and reflection.
