Licence to photograph kingfishers

Hi
Does any one know if i need a licence to photograph kingfishers from a hide that is available to the public, Is it only required if you need/want to photograph the bird near the nest. (If nesting) .Are there different licence's available, i do not wish to photograph kingfishers or disturb them in any way if nesting, wouldnt dream of it even if had licence. But do not want to be on the wrong side of the law, taking pictures and its just not allowed with out said paper work. Any advice please.

Hi,
No you don't need a license unless the birds are in the enst. Any other time is fine. If the hide is open to the public and birds are nesting next door. E.g - Wetland centre in london i think exceptions are made.
