sorry, but anyone that views those images and even contemplates 'I wonder what camera these were shot on' deserves a good slapping.

and thinking "I wonder if he's going to use hollowpoint or ball parabellum ammunition?". It indicates that perhaps the person viewing the image has either missed the gravity of the image or has slightly skewed priorities.

There are some thought-provoking images there and they tell a more complete story than anything else I've seen in mainstream media.

It never ceases to surprise me what 'humorous' things people will do in situations like this.... (referring to the goat/fag/gun image):shrug:

No not really - more likely the questions people asked of Adams were "did you use Ilford or Kodak film...? What shutter speed and aperture did you set? Did you anticipate the event or was it luck? Did General Loan get angry with you for taking the photograph?"

Most interesting was that last question.
Loan had just recieved news that his sister's family had been killed, possibly by this very man - he is identified as an NVA officer, commanding an infiltration unit - far from being the callous and calculated act it appears, this is a man in deep anguish lashing out at someone he considers - rightly or wrongly - to be responsible.
He is surrounded by his personal troops. Had he wished Adams to 'disappear' it could have been arranged all too easily.
 
Cjay and cobra_lite answered the question far better than I could have. The camera is utterly irrelevant to the horror in those pictures.

I merely presented an image with great emotional impact and postulated a question that, though tangentially related to the image, misses apposite questions regarding the content. In the same way that seeing images of the Libyan conflict and asking "Canon or Nikon?" is an anodyne question when presented with the true impact of the image.

Shame the author of that article didn't know enough to caption those correctly...

03 is not "anti aircraft gun", its a recoiless rifle - what you might think of as a "rocket launcher". It is for destroying tanks. If you hit an aircraft with it then you are really lucky and should perhaps buy more lottery tickets!

69 is not "ultra left wing", the National Bolshevik Party are neo-fascists! Don't be fooled like the author just because you see a Hammer and Sickle!
