I'm glad to see that Hamilton has won the F1 title depite the FIA's efforts against him.

I do feel a bit sorry for Massa, I think justice was done!

:woot::woot::woot:
what a finish, my tv jammed right when he overtook glock, so had to run downstair and see the end.

well deserved, awesome driver. :clap::clap::clap:

Glock also made up places, didn't he?

It was a brave move & could have paid off in a big way, as in Spa.

sad for massa but very happy for lewis. he certainly deserved it

so many hamilton haters in the UK.... typical build em up knock em down british mentality that seems to have infected the country.

glock did a solid job but it was just too wet for the slicks he was on. i dont think he gifted it, and whilst im sure hes going to get a hell of a backlash from the ferrari fans, it wasnt his fault.

YIPPEE!!!!

No, Glock didn't gift it. If he had come in for intermediates as he should have done, he would have finished further down the field. He/the team made a gamble and it probably paid off as he still got sixth place. Well done Hamilton. Like all British sports stars, he likes to make us suffer! :D

:cuckoo: hmmm....the fact he hung on as long as he did on dry tyres is miracle, the guy di his best, many would have been on the grass never mind just dropping back!

Having seen the replay, i agree he nearly lost it when Hamilton overtook. I'm just gutted. So i guess that Lewis' dad and Massa's mum and dad didn't wave the flag then, as no-one knew who would win.

Well if the FIA do spite Hamilton then he isnt safe yet, i think pretty much every year some-one gets disq from that race.

Which would deffo prove that the sport being setup,

Well done to our new world Champion Lewis Hamilton and commiserations to Massa, a nail biting finish to a controversial season lets hope the powers that be let them really race next season with the stewards interference kept to a minimum....JIM

Finally after too looong a wait, we have a British F1 World Champion again.

Well done Lewis and McLaren, commiserations to Massa but not to Ferrari. And to the FIA

I think Lewis owes Timo Glock a large one.

Soo pleased for Lewis its untrue. Especially after all the stick he has got over the last few months. Shows just how strong and determined he is.

Well Done That Man !!

Thoroughly deserved, and what a finish talk about highes and lowes. I can never understand why some people don't like a winner.

Dean

As much as I wanted Hamilton to win, what the **** happened to Timo Glock?
I know he was on dry tyres, but because of this his sector times were being watched very closely by everybody and he seemed to be posting competive speeds.
Did he slow deliberately to hand the championship to Hamilton???
I'd like to think he didn't but something wasn't right...unless he spun and the cameras didn't pick it up as they were watching Lewis and Vettel going head to head?
Despite the result I do feel sorry for Massa.
He drove a perfect race and for my money would have been a worthy champ (if you forget about the dodgy decisions by the stewards)
Edge of the seat stuff though

I haven't screamed at the tv and frightened the kids like that in...well, weeks! :)

Funniest thing seeing the Ferrari garage jumping up and down, thinking they'd won it. As much as I am an anti-Ferrari fan, fair play to Massa - that is a man who wins and loses with the greatest of dignity.

Well Done Lewis, but all so close to not doing it

Trulli was actually slower than glock, they were the only two left on grooved tyres. Grooved tyres have a drop off point, they hang on and then drop dramatically which results in a loss of grip, driver goes slower, which loses heat, which loses grip - you're on a hiding to nothing by that time.
Lewis was told to let Vettel go as McLaren ddn't wan tot get into a wheelbanging scenario, then the rain came - had glock pitted it wouldn't of been dramatic at all.

I did feel a bit for Massa, but it was always going to be a long shot.
I hope Maxxx and his sidekick Donnelly reflect on this year and don't interfere in 2009.

Great stuff from Lewis BUT he needs to work on his error ratio.
Glad he won, just to stick one in the eye of the FIA

Yup Good one lewis you deserve it even thou today I though he was not him self at all... He was not pushing at all but think he wanting to keep his cool but not too sure..

All being well he have a better year next year and not as many Penalties other wise he would already be the champion.

Glock lost 3 secs in sector 1, 9 secs inn sector 2 & 6 secs in the last sector.

This is almost identical to Trulli, the other slick shod Toyota, so I doubt he slowed for Hamilton.

Why would he slow for lewis he wont not all he honestly would not slow for lewis.. The tyre are what slowed him down he was on dry on wet track that what happened....

LEWIS WON IT. but i have that little fealing FIA going to do something as always has the want red to win... If they do something F1 is going to be history

A well deserved champion. It's a shame the idiot section of the Brazilian public didn't do a bit of checking and failed to realise that black cats are lucky over here.

An excellent result, especially after a dissapointing morning of rugby!! :) :(

I am so pleased, not just for Hamilton and the Maclaren team, but just so it puts one over on the meddling FIA who have made this years championship look so unprofessional. The 5 points that should never have been deducted would have given it to Hamilton at the last race anyway.

So, Well done Lewis, you deserve it, just watch your back next year, as Ferrrari have the FIA in their pocket and it will be even harder.

Big it up for the British World Champion !

Steve

Delighted for Lewis after the year and the fact everyone seems against him

roll on next year

Over the moon for Lewis, the best man has won this years title, in the face of the FIA trying everything in their power to take it away from him. Probably the most exciting F1 GP I've seen in years. I hope he's allowed to enjoy being the 9th British F1 World Champion
