Yes
Anyone have any experience with these specifically the Benro LBA2????

I used to have the manfrotto one but found it heavy and bulky so never really took it with me and sold it when I sold all my manfrotto kit

There seems to be more coming to the market like Benro and the cheaper Sunwaypoto

RE: Manfrotto
Just curious, as when I was looking at a levelling base for use with my Gimbal head I wanted solidity and ease of setting so chose this Manfrotto https://www.manfrotto.com/uk-en/ball-camera-leveller-438/ but noted the more complex to set one, the model 338. Which one did you have???
NB yes, the 438 is a 'weight' but it does what it says on the tin ;)

I have a Sunway one, this one by the look of it https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod..._dyh90ri_dyh_90ri_rotating_leveling_base.html it’s a fair weight 640g but worth it when I need the convenience vs fiddling with tripod legs. Usually with gimbal for long lens or for panoramas.

Yeah that’s the style I’ve seen very similar to the Benro one

I had that one the 438 I found it heavy and a tad notchy because of the little grooves on the ball

The Benro and Sunway ones seem smooth

I love love love the Acratech one

most of the others cannot be adjusted when fixed to a tripod with a larger top plate

I did buy a Gitzo bowl but it adds so much weight and bulk

I do have a Gitzo LVL tripod which works well

Thanks for that I’ll take a look at those ones

I’ve also found the cheaper Neewer one which I like the look of

I’ve already got a Neewer gimbal head which is brilliant quality for what I paid for it so might give the levelling base a try

It's a bit annoying but there are few true bargains

my experience is buy cheap or buy once

and the acreatech is a lovely thing

have the pano head too

I have the 438 and tha concurs with my experience and with the observation - it's a tad notchy. I've found it hard to get it adjusted such that it moves as smoothly as I'd like without it becoming loose. It's also heavy.
