Hello,
I'm sending you this email because I think you've seen photographer rights crushed over the past few years and we want to help fix that.
If you give us permission, we are willing to pay $1 every time we use a photo. It could be any photo without a release attached to it, even a Facebook or Instagram photo that you never thought you could sell to a stock photography company. We also offer an additional 20% royalty if you give us the rights to sell them for you.
Our company makes blog and social media posts for our clients. We need photos to help tell better 'authentic' stories. The intent of the $1 per use pricing was inspired by it not sitting right with us by only giving attribution for images in content we're writing. Now we can sleep at night being on the iTunes side rather than the Pinterest/Napster side of things.
Get rewarded for your creativity today and create a new type of stock portfolio: http://magic.indivly.com/photographer-sign-up/
Thanks for your time and feel free to respond with any questions or feedback!
-John Clark
(PS: I apologize for the cold email, I won't contact you again.)

So, let me get this right... you want to use my images, and you are willing to pay me one whole dollar! (to stop piracy you know).

I am so happy to see this ethically just company looking out for photographers and ensuring that they get a realistic payment for their time and work. ;)

Where do I sign up! :cuckoo::lol: (to help them sleep at night obviously)

Wow.
Finally, I am going to be rich, RICH I tell you.
Incredible.

Classic. So they use photos to fake "authentic" stories on blogs, but feel bad about pinching the photos and want to pay a pittance to avoid being sued.

Reply saying that you couldn't, in good conscience, accept that much per photo, and ask if he could go as low as $0.50 and still have a good night's sleep.

Hi Everyone,

I am the dummy who sent that email! You're all very very right. We believed we had the right intentions but the wrong target audience and most importantly the wrong pricing for professional photographers. High quality images take time, gas for a car and hotels and we didn't mean to insult anyone here by saying your high quality work is worth $1. So I wanted to apologize to you all here and simply say that I was wrong! I couldn't sleep last night and I even considered throwing up an embarrassing personal 'meme-able' photo for you to go to town on.

From now on we will be focusing on the average Facebook/Instagram users who are getting zero for their creativity while the social networks reap in $50+ per user every year off their creativity.

Side note: We are located in Boston, MA and not Africa, but that was pretty darn funny.
