Just returned from a "photo with santa" at a primary school.

I usually use eye-fi to tether and print with Hot Folder Prints no problem, bit slow sometimes but expected.

As I had 150+ to print in 2 hours I decided to use usb for the extra speed, big mistake as at around 40 shots things stopped printing. EOS Utility had closed itself and would not stay open, just opened and closed as I chose remote shooting. After a few tries it opened and worked ok for a while then stopped again, error connection lost. Tried a different USB lead but same issues.

Has anyone else had similar issues?
What else could I use to shoot straight to a folder on pc?

We use it on 5 machines on multiple cams have never had a problem, the USB on canon in my findings has always been a bit flimsy though... Check if your USB connector is loose.
 
Thanks, seems fine. a wiggle makes no difference, obviously now im back home its working fine!
 
Yeh suppose I could get another lightroom disc, I have it on main pc and laptop and think that's all you're allowed on one licence.

Shame there isn't anything simple and light that will allow shooting to pc folder and that's it.
